RMSBA Policy Regarding Use of Original Works
RMSBA encourages its members to gain broader exposure for their art by displaying images of their work and to create contributions in articles and features. All members are eligible to participate in RMSBA exhibitions and blogspot.
RMSBA strives to represent a broad cross-section of the membership’s activities in the blogspot and exhibitions, while recognizing and encouraging the highest standards sought by the organization.
RMSBA respects the intellectual property rights of its member artists, obtains permission for use of artists’ original work, credits the artists for their work, and displays copyright notices (when provided by artist) for images that are shown.
In general, images submitted for an exhibition in response to this Call for Entries may be used in publicity for the exhibition and may be used on the RMSBA blogspot and RMSBA publications for promoting the exhibition before, during, and after its run without further permission being sought.
In addition, this policy seeks to preserve the rights of artists and authors by securing a signed permission for use of images and text, outlining use parameters, which is included in RMSBA Exhibition Applications.
RMSBA takes reasonable precautions subject to the limitations of existing technology to deter copyright infringement and guard against improper use of works that appear in the RMSBA blogspot or RMSBA publications, but is not responsible for unlawful actions of others outside its control.
By my signature below I acknowledge that I have read the Call for Entries for the above-named exhibit and agree to the provisions contained therein. I grant one-time use of my image/s to the RMSBA for activities related to this exhibit.
